Trend Micro AWS NHS Roundtable

Protect, detect and respond: Navigating cyber risk in today's interconnected world

November 28th, 18:00 – 21:30, Tattu Manchester
Harder for hackers. Simpler for you.

In 2024, the NHS saw a 300% increase in cyber incidents, compared to 2019 and the Synnovis supply chain attack saw at least 1,608 elective procedures and 8,349 acute outpatient appointments postponed across the two trusts, and an urgent appeal for blood donors was issued by the NHS. What’s more, the threat actor also leaked an estimated 400GB of sensitive internal information including patient names, dates of birth, NHS numbers and blood test results.

So, how can NHS organisations manage the cyber risk that they face, including in their supply chain? For this exclusive Trend Micro and AWS roundtable, for peer-to-peer networking and thought-provoking discussion on:
  • Ownership of Cyber Risk: Examining how cyber risk is managed at local, regional, and national levels across NHS Scotland.
  • Resilience in Digitalisation: Strategies to embed cybersecurity into digital transformation projects from the outset, keeping patients safe across the ICS.
  • Securing the Supply Chain: How NHS organisations can defend against supply chain vulnerabilities and collaborate for a unified security approach.
  • Compliance vs. Dynamic Risk Assessment: Discussing the balance between meeting regulatory requirements (DSPT/CAF) and maintaining visibility and threat mitigation across the NHS ecosystem.

This event will offer a valuable opportunity to explore practical solutions for building a more resilient NHS, while safeguarding patient safety.
