1. “Support for Windows, Linux, and Linux containers (with explicit support for Kubernetes), and support for serverless function scanning and runtime protection,” according to Gartner.

Trend Micro Cloud One™ provides you with complete life cycle support from pre-runtime to runtime for containers. This includes support for your Linux-based architecture and container orchestration environments, such as Kubernetes, with a policy-based admission controller. Trend Micro also supports security for serverless environments, such as Lambda, with policy-based detection and protection.

2. As per Gartner’s report, “Licensing portability across on-premises and public cloud deployments.”

Trend Micro Cloud One security platform licensing offers you complete flexibility for your servers, cloud workloads, and containers. You’ll find advanced protection whether they are deployed in your on-premises data center, private cloud, or public cloud deployment architectures.

3. According to Gartner, “Traditional per-workload/per-year licensing, with licensing options for usage-based consumption based on image size (for example, per minute).”

The Trend Micro Cloud One security platform licensing provides you with flexible options for annual subscription and pay-as-you-go consumption for your virtual machines (VMs)/workloads. This is based on size, containers (node or container service), serverless, storage buckets, cloud accounts (CSPM), network throughput/inspected, and per project (open source vulnerabilities).

4. ”Console as a service provided from the cloud for ease of deployment,” according to 2021 Gartner Market Guide for Cloud Workload Protection Platforms.

Trend Micro Cloud One is a console-as-a-service platform to help your organization secure your cloud journey. As a cloud-native platform, you can simplify your security infrastructure, reduce ongoing maintenance costs, achieve quicker compliance, and more. Your business will also benefit from a multitude of new features and automatic updates that are delivered daily, as well as 24/7/365 operations and monitoring.

5. ”Software available and integrated in the cloud provider’s application store for ease of consumption,” as per the Gartner report.

Trend Micro Cloud One is available and integrated as a single purchase via the cloud solution provider’s marketplace. This includes flexible purchasing options for consumption usage, unlimited enterprise licensing, and fixed seats with pay-as-you-go models. Cost allocation tagging with the cloud solution provider allows you to bill back against specific accounts or departments.

6. According to the Gartner report, “Integrated CSPM/KSPM capabilities (typically charged for separately).”

Trend Micro offers you cloud security posture management (CSPM) to scan multi-cloud configurations for excessive risk. This gives you continuous security, compliance, and governance for your cloud infrastructure. As well, Trend Micro shifts security and compliance to the earliest phase of your CI/CD pipeline with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) template scanning, ensuring that the most secure and compliant templates are deployed.

7. As per the Gartner report, “Optional anti-malware scanning capabilities, including the option to scan cloud object stores.”

The Trend Micro Cloud One Security Platform provides you with advanced malware scanning for your cloud-based file and object storage services as well as for your VMs/workloads and container images.

8. “Coverage of the hierarchy of controls in Figure 4 that are important to the enterprise,” as per Gartner’s report.

The Trend Micro Cloud One™ security platform contains all of the controls (both foundational and less critical controls) to fully protect your cloud workloads. These controls include restricted operator access, change, and log management. Operations and security hygiene is also present—such as vulnerability management, network visibility, system integrity, application control, exploit prevention, server/workload EDR, host-based IPS, and vulnerability shielding. In addition, Trend Micro Cloud One provides you with anti-malware scanning for containers, workloads, and file object storage.
